PBW4-1Precision belt weigher · four load cell, single idler
A fully floating weigh frame on four load cells with a single weigh idler: ±0.25% of actual weight at belt speeds up to 1.0 m/s*, rated to 3.5 m/s, for belts from 450 to 2,200 mm. Australian designed and made, in galvanised mild steel or stainless.

The PBW4-1 weigh frame
Four load cells under a fully floating frame, one weigh idler on top: the PBW4-1 is the entry point to the PBW4 precision series, for belts that run at up to 1.0 m/s where ±0.25% of actual weight is needed. Shown here in hot-dip galvanised mild steel, as supplied for a 1200 mm belt; stainless steel when needed.
From bare frame to running conveyor
Every part of a PBW4-1 installation, in the order it goes together. Accurate Industries supplies the lot: the weigh frame, weigh idler, speed sensor and off-scale idlers, plus the integrator and calibration.
1. The weigh frame
The galvanised weigh frame with its four load cells (shown with optional plate calibration weights).
2. Weigh idler, on the stringers
The single weigh idler frame on the scale, bolted between the conveyor stringers.
3. Off-scale idlers
Six standard idler frames either side of the scale, so the belt runs true through the weigh area.
4. Belt fitted
Carry and return belt in place: the conveyor as it runs empty. Add the speed sensor and integrator and it is weighing.
